• 00:58 He's been teaching on the end times for believers.

• 01:09 Zola passed on to his reward in 2006,
• 01:12 so it's just kind of a treat for us, right, to be able
• 01:15 to see Zola in the day, in the prime teaching.
• 01:18 And today's program will be taking you to a recording studio
• 01:23 to hear from Zola, all about the music that he wrote
• 01:26 and produced for this series.
• 01:28 Let's go to Zola now.
• 01:31 Zola Levitt: Shalom, hello again.
• 01:33 I'm speaking to you from the studio where we prepare the
• 01:35 music for our series, and this, of course, is the last program
• 01:39 in our series, "Thy Kingdom Come,"
• 01:41 the future of the believers.
• 01:43 We've been detailing the happy events that come to pass
• 01:46 for believers in our Lord, and that is a happy thing to do
• 01:51 and music is too.
• 01:53 You know, in every series we make,
• 01:55 we're very careful with the music.
• 01:56 We record it very professionally.
• 01:58 I'm going to discuss how this equipment works.
• 02:01 It's gotten smaller and smaller over the years.
• 02:03 And would you believe behind me is an effect
• 02:05 of New York Philharmonic?
• 02:07 These machines can reproduce orchestrations
• 02:10 in the most thrilling way.
• 02:13 And we come down here, typically I play the oboe,
• 02:16 and the Lord gives me the music, and we share it with you on each
• 02:21 series and we put beautiful video pictures with it.
• 02:25 Our crew is really to be congratulated
• 02:27 for the gorgeous pictures of Israel they take.
• 02:30 They're not like the pictures you see on CNN, of course,
• 02:32 they're the real Israel, and put with this music,
• 02:36 I think it makes quite a nice experience.

• 09:53 as a professional musician.
• 09:55 David: Right, oboe player.
• 09:57 Kirsten: Right, with the Pittsburgh symphony.
• 09:58 I play cello, and so I--
• 10:00 David: Yes, you love orchestras.
• 10:01 Kirsten: I do.
• 10:03 And I love the classical music, and that was Zola's heart
• 10:05 combined with ministry.
• 10:06 So now let's go back in the recording studio to hear more
• 10:09 of Zola's story as a professional musician.
• 10:14 Zola: You know, when I was saved,
• 10:15 I was a professional musician.
• 10:17 My instrument was the oboe.
• 10:19 This is an oboe and-- this looks like a clarinet,
• 10:22 but it's quite different.
• 10:23 It's got a double reed that is two pieces of sugarcane are tied
• 10:27 together, literally, and it's like your two vocal cords.
• 10:32 It vibrate--the reeds vibrate together and make
• 10:34 a very emotional and beautiful sound.
• 10:37 And that is the instrument you're hearing as the solo on
• 10:40 all of the pieces that are playing in the series of course.
• 10:44 And you know, since the Lord gave me this profession,
• 10:47 I was in the New Orleans Symphony
• 10:50 and the San Antonio Symphony before I was saved,
• 10:53 and I went through music school.
• 10:55 I went 10 years to music school and--
• 10:59 I use that talent, then, as I can in the ministry
• 11:03 to compose the music the Lord gives me and play the oboe.
• 11:07 The reeds are remarkable contraption because
• 11:12 by itself it sounds like this...
• 11:18 and put it in the oboe sounds like this...
• 11:27 So the pieces that I'm playing are not necessarily
• 11:33 made for the oboe.
• 11:34 I compose them on the piano.
• 11:36 But look, it saves costs and I enjoy it, and I hope you do too.
