• 00:27 through faith in Christ Jesus.
• 00:44 Shalom and welcome to our program.
• 00:46 I'm Myles Weiss
• 00:47 And I'm Katharine Weiss
• 00:48 And we want to welcome you today.
• 00:50 Today we're going to be speaking about Israel in prophecy.
• 00:53 The scripture talks about can a nation be born in a day;
• 00:56 and yes God birthed the nation of Israel.
• 00:59 It also talks about in Matthew 24:4-8
• 01:02 that wars and rumors of wars will take place in the last days
• 01:07 before our LORD Himself will come.
• 01:10 Yes, Isaiah saw it 800 years before Christ was born
• 01:13 He said in Isaiah 66:8
• 01:15 that a nation will be born in a day
• 01:17 looking forward to 1948
• 01:19 when Israel came back into our own land.
• 01:22 But there are contending voices.
• 01:23 There are spirits coming against the land, against the people;
• 01:27 primarily against the God of the people
• 01:29 because that is what really is going on.
• 01:32 We're looking forward to seeing the unfolding of this prophecy
• 01:35 and we're going to see 3 major wars before the LORD returns.
• 01:38 There's the Psalm 83 war...
• 01:40 the Arab surrounding nations;
• 01:42 there's Gog and Magog which will draw in Iran and Russia;
• 01:44 and finally there's Armageddon
• 01:46 which will be all nations coming against Jerusalem
• 01:49 including the kings of the East.
• 01:51 We're going to hear about that today
• 01:52 from our good friend Bill Salus.
• 01:54 He's a prophecy teacher
• 01:56 and he's got some real insight into the coming days.
• 01:59 So let's go to our interview with Bill Salus.
• 02:02 Well I think it's very applicable for our time.
• 02:04 It's a prophecy written 3,000 years ago
• 02:06 by King David's worship leader Asaph
• 02:09 who was also a prophet we're told in 2 Chronicles 29:30
• 02:13 And he talks about a confederacy that's going to come together
• 02:17 of Arab populations and people groups
• 02:19 which today happen to share common borders with Israel.
• 02:22 Lebanon, Hezbollah are there...
• 02:24 Syria, Jordan, Iraq,
• 02:26 Saudi Arabia, Palestinians, Hamas, Egypt...
• 02:32 enemies of Israel since Israel became a nation and the wars that they fought.
• 02:35 And of course the terrorists groups have spawned from that.
• 02:38 But Asaph says that they're going to come together in a confederacy;
• 02:42 they're going to form a devious plan
• 02:44 and they're going to try to cut the nation off
• 02:47 that the name of Israel can be remembered no more.
• 02:50 It's a confederacy that wants to wipe Israel off of the map
• 02:54 and we're told later on is Psalm 83:12
• 02:57 that they want to take for themselves
• 02:59 the pastures of God for a possession.
• 03:02 So it's a prophecy that has not found fulfillment yet through the Old Testament
• 03:07 and they want to destroy the nations of Israel
• 03:10 which means there has to be an Israel...
• 03:12 there was no Israel between 70 AD and 1948
• 03:15 but there is an Israel now.
• 03:17 And what is the mantra of a lot of the Arab states over there right now?
• 03:22 Hamas terrorist population on to the Gaza,
• 03:24 "we don't recognize Israel's right to exist".
• 03:26 Syria doesn't recognize Israel's right to exist.
• 03:29 Really if it's a prophecy for our time;
• 03:31 and I sincerely think it is,
• 03:33 they don't want peace with the Jews.
• 03:35 No they don't
• 03:36 They want one more Arab state
• 03:38 and they want to hail the flag of Palestine over that state.
• 03:40 And they want a universal caliphate
• 03:42 with its capitol in Jerusalem
• 03:44 They do and a matter of fact
• 03:46 the Muslim Brotherhood when they were in power
• 03:48 right before Mohamed Morsi got ousted this past June
• 03:51 they had wanted to march towards Jerusalem at some point.
• 03:54 That was going to be his ultimate goal.
• 03:56 And not just them, that's also with the Palestinians
• 03:59 that they want Jerusalem to be the eternal capital of the Palestinian state
• 04:03 and that's widespread in Islam.
• 04:06 And so we've really been getting a lot of pressure in that direction.
• 04:09 When the Palestinian authority
• 04:11 once the United Nations at the end of 2012 got a non-member state status
• 04:16 3 days later early December
• 04:18 Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority,
• 04:21 said one day Jerusalem will be the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.
• 04:27 That's what they want.
• 04:29 When you look at the end time prophecy of Psalm 83
• 04:32 how many nations are involved in this confederacy?
• 04:36 Well when Asaph wrote 3,000 years ago
• 04:40 he had Ammonites and Moabites and Edomites
• 04:43 and I often like to say gigabytes...
• 04:45 Yeah (laughing)
• 04:48 But we have little time so I'll keep it focused.
• 04:51 But he didn't have Palestinians,
• 04:53 he didn't have Jordanians, Hezbollah, things like that
• 04:55 so we have to extrapolate who was he trying to identify for us
• 04:58 when the prophecy is going to find fulfillment;
• 05:00 who will they embody as far as territorially,
• 05:03 as far as ethnically and things like that.
• 05:05 So he mentions 10 populations
• 05:07 and among them first he talks about the tents of Edom
• 05:11 Now whenever you have a member in a confederacy listed first
• 05:15 they tend to be very important in that confederacy...
• 05:18 their plight or they're the leader or something like that.
• 05:21 So "tents of" speak of the Edomites in a habitation condition.
• 05:26 "Tents of" Biblically represent refugee conditions or military encampments.
• 05:30 So I go through my book
• 05:33 and do the research as to who are the Edomites today
• 05:36 and the Edomites have descended from Jacob's twin brother Esau
• 05:39 and they have ethnical representations in the Palestinians today.
• 05:43 The Palestinians became refugees
• 05:46 when they first came against Israel in 1948.
• 05:49 That's when the "tents of Edom" became a reality
• 05:52 And now we've got a problem.
• 05:53 That's true
• 05:54 We've still got a refugee crisis
• 05:56 and what are the Arab states trying to banner?
• 05:58 A Palestinian state
• 06:00 You know... let them have Palestine,
• 06:01 we need one more Arab state
• 06:03 and we don't want them to be refugees anymore;
• 06:05 we want to destroy Israel so we can take over the Promised Land,
• 06:09 the Pastures of God,
• 06:10 so we can have a Palestinian state.
• 06:12 It's amazing how meticulously accurate
• 06:15 the prophetic Word of God is isn't it?
• 06:18 And you can certainly see that in your detail analysis of Psalm 83.
• 06:23 I've been told there's what, 9 end time battles in the Bible?
• 06:28 Actually Dr. David Reagan has come out with...
• 06:31 I think it's something called
• 06:33 "The 9 End Times Wars of the Bible"
• 06:35 and he does a really good job on that.
• 06:37 Three real big ones though that I'm focused on would be
• 06:41 the Psalm 83 which would be
• 06:43 the climactic concluding Arab-Israeli war
• 06:45 which I believe could be very well eminent
• 06:47 in light of all the geopolitical things
• 06:49 that are going on right now especially since "Arab Spring".
• 06:53 I think that then Israel wins that war.
• 06:55 I point out that the Israeli Defense Forces
• 06:58 rally to the cause;
• 06:59 they're in fulfillment of Bible prophecy,
• 07:02 they win that war,
• 07:03 then Israel can burgeon out a little bit...
• 07:06 a little more territory...
• 07:07 become a little safer...
• 07:08 they will be prosperous,
• 07:10 they're already very prosperous.
• 07:11 And then you got this big, big major prophetic war
• 07:14 described in Ezekiel 38 and 39
• 07:17 where Russia puts together a coalition...
• 07:20 9 total countries totally different than Psalm 83.
• 07:23 None of the coalition in Ezekiel 38 and 39 share common borders with Israel
• 07:30 And Iran is mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39.
• 07:33 Ezekiel 38 and 39...
• 07:34 and of course Iran's in the news now with their nuclear program
• 07:37 so I believe the Israel that is involved in Ezekiel 38 and 39
• 07:40 were given descriptions...
• 07:42 they're dwelling securely in the midst of the land
• 07:44 in the later days
• 07:46 without walls, bars nor gates;
• 07:47 they're very prosperous.
• 07:49 Then Russia musters up its coalition
• 07:51 to come against that specific Israel
• 07:54 and Todd personally at this point I don't believe that Israel exists entirely.
• 07:58 They're not dwelling securely...
• 08:00 they've got a 403 mile wall that separates Palestinian territory
• 08:04 and they've got check points and things like that over there.
• 08:08 Now when they can eliminate the concerns
• 08:11 with the Arab problem around them,
• 08:13 and certainly nobody wants war
• 08:16 but apparently that's what it's going to come to,
• 08:18 then they can dwell securely
• 08:20 and they can take down that wall
• 08:21 if we want to look at that literally.
• 08:23 The Berlin wall came down real quick;
• 08:25 so can that wall.
• 08:26 So I think that we could be looking at
• 08:29 very detailed prophecies dealing with that war
• 08:32 Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38
• 08:33 and then of course the grand-daddy war of all
• 08:35 as the final climactic war when the Armageddon campaign,
• 08:39 the anti-Christ...that's another thing in the tribulation period.
• 08:43 Where do you think the United States is in all of this?
• 08:47 Do you think maybe the rapture happening right before the tribulation
• 08:52 plays a factor into their pacifist protesting Rome?
• 08:57 Well that would certainly neutralize not only the American army
• 09:02 but it would also neutralize a lot of the European armies
• 09:05 and Western armies in general.
• 09:06 As a matter of fact in the scenario you're suggesting there
• 09:09 if you have Israel winning some wars in Psalm 83 and the Russian war where it actually,
• 09:15 not the IDF, but the LORD stops that war we're told
• 09:18 with fire and hailstones and brimstone in Ezekiel 38.
• 09:21 And now you've got this different Israel...
• 09:23 this burgeoning Israel...
• 09:25 and all of a sudden you take out the rapture with the Christians.
• 09:29 They're will be a lot of Christians go out of Europe
• 09:31 because now all of a sudden Russia... There's a big void.
• 09:34 The coalition of Gog and Magog is predominantly all Muslim.
• 09:37 No Muslims unless they believe in Jesus...
• 09:39 and if they believe in Jesus they become a Christian not a Muslim any further...
• 09:42 those Muslims are not going to be raptured,
• 09:45 their armies will still be 100 percent intact.
• 09:47 Western armies will be neutralized.
• 09:50 Greatly depleted
• 09:52 Greatly depleted; not just America but also Lutherans
• 09:55 and Germany and that sort of thing
• 09:57 So you would have a situation where Russia could say
• 09:59 look Iran, Turkey, Libya
• 10:01 and the other members involved in that coalition say,
• 10:04 look the only thing standing between us and superpower status now
• 10:07 is that burgeoning Israel over there;
• 10:10 let's go get their wealth;
• 10:11 they think they're dwelling securely at this point in time
• 10:13 and let's go tackle them.
• 10:15 So that would be in Ezekiel 38 and 39.
• 10:17 So that's if the rapture occurred before Ezekiel 38 and 39.
• 10:22 It makes sense...you know it all seems to fit together.
• 10:25 Well we don't know the timing of course of the rapture.
• 10:28 Right it's a sign-less event...
• 10:30 it's eminent...
• 10:31 it could happen at any moment.
• 10:33 I subscribe to a pre-trib rapture.
• 10:36 I don't think the church will be appointed to the wrath of God So do I
• 10:40 displayed in the tribulation.
• 10:43 But I also believe Psalm 83 is a pre-trib scenario
• 10:47 and I point out why it can't happen in the tribulation.
• 10:50 When you understand the Psalm
• 10:51 it has to happen before the tribulation.
• 10:53 I also believe there's sound reasons to think
• 10:56 that Ezekiel 38 and 39 happens
• 10:58 at least 3 1/2 years before the tribulation...
• 11:01 they're burning weapons for 7 years.
• 11:03 So in the first half of the tribulation 3 1/2 years they could be burning weapons
• 11:06 and the first 3 1/2 years before the tribulation they could be burning weapons
• 11:10 so some of us subscribe to the thought that
• 11:12 that's also a pre-trib event and the rapture of course pre-trib.
• 11:17 So three big pre-trib events
• 11:20 that seem to be on the nearby horizon
• 11:21 and all game changes for the world.
• 11:26 Psalm 83 is a very important psalm for us to know.
• 11:30 It's about the surrounding nations that will attack Israel.
• 11:33 But God Himself will defend His nation in His Name.
• 11:38 You see it says in Psalm 83 that they may know
• 11:41 that "I Am alone Jehovah;"
• 11:44 "I Am the LORD of all"
• 11:47 "the most high over all the earth".
• 11:49 It is so exciting to know the One that keeps His people.
• 11:53 Yes and really that's what it's about.
• 11:55 When you see the attack against Israel
• 11:57 you really need to know the attack is really against
• 11:59 the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who is Israel.
• 12:03 It's amazing to realize that the United Nation's
• 12:06 high commission for refugees
• 12:08 is made up of all the service to all the refugees in the world
• 12:12 They serve 40 million refugees with 7,000 workers
• 12:17 and they take care of them in one generation.
• 12:19 The only refugee work that has been going on
• 12:23 for generation after generation
• 12:25 has to do with the Palestinian Arabs.
• 12:27 They have been for 3 1/2 generations
• 12:30 there are 30,000 workers at the
• 12:33 United Nations Reliefs and Works Agency...
• 12:36 30,000 workers permanent class of workers
• 12:39 to serve only 5 1/2 million people, why,
• 12:42 because they keep them in a permanent refugee class.
• 12:46 And the issue that we hear a lot
• 12:47 is about the right of return for the Arabs
• 12:50 but what really is at issue is the right of absorption.
• 12:54 Those people need to be lifted up and served
• 12:58 by their Arab brothers and sisters around the world.
• 13:00 Those surrounding nations
• 13:02 if they would only welcome them
• 13:04 and open their doors to them
• 13:05 there would be peace in the Middle East.
• 13:07 We'll be back after this.

• 15:24 that men would be humbled.
• 15:26 It's so amazing to me that Israel is in God's eyes,
• 15:29 on God's heart;
• 15:30 mentioned 2,566 times in the Bible...
• 15:34 "Jerusalem" 811 times in the Bible.
• 15:37 Is Jerusalem in the Koran?
• 15:38 Not once
• 15:40 Now let's go to Todd Baker interviewing August Rosado.
• 15:46 Israel is very important to God.
• 15:47 If you read your Bible
• 15:49 Israel is mentioned 2,566 times in the scriptures
• 15:53 so Israel is very important to God.
• 15:55 God has a plan for Israel and the Jewish people.
• 15:59 Unfortunately many of those in the church today
• 16:01 have counted Israel out with this replacement theology
• 16:04 and saying that because Israel rejected Jesus as the Messiah
• 16:08 God is through with Israel,
• 16:09 wants nothing to do with the Jewish people anymore
• 16:12 and all the promises that God gave to the Jews are now null and void
• 16:16 and have been transferred over to the church
• 16:18 and so now the church is the new Israel.
• 16:20 We don't subscribe to that here at "Today in Bible Prophecy" ministries
• 16:23 and I know that Zola Levitt Ministries does not as well.
• 16:26 And So God does have a plan for Israel.
• 16:29 He will fulfill that plan in the not too distant future.
• 16:32 If you believe in replacement theology
• 16:34 then you better rip Romans chapters 9, 10
• 16:37 and especially chapter 11 out of your Bible
• 16:39 because Paul blows that doctrine right out of the water.
• 16:43 He sure does and in Romans 11:1 and 2 he poses this hypothetical.
• 16:48 He said has God cast away His people whom He foreknew?
• 16:51 His people meaning Israel the Jewish people
• 16:53 And He says
• 16:54 In verse 2 God forbid
• 16:57 God forbid or "meganointa"
• 16:59 which is the strongest negative in the Greek, negative emphatic.
• 17:02 And then I think of Jeremiah 31:35-37
• 17:05 that God said the nation of Israel
• 17:07 will always exist before Him.
• 17:09 The universe would have to cease to exist first
• 17:12 if God were to forsake Israel as a nation right?
• 17:16 Exactly I love using Jeremiah 31.
• 17:18 I preached a message a long time ago called
• 17:20 "How to Destroy Israel"
• 17:22 and if you can count all the stars that are in the sky
• 17:25 and give God an accurate number
• 17:27 God says I'll break my promise to Israel.
• 17:29 If you can count every single grain of sand that's on the seashore
• 17:33 and give God an accurate number
• 17:35 God said I'll wipe Israel off the face of the map pretty much.
• 17:38 But the point is that is impossible.
• 17:41 And so God says it's impossible for me to break my promises with Israel and the Jewish people.
• 17:48 So to say that God is done with Israel
• 17:50 is in my thinking it's just impossible.
• 17:55 Well it's theological anti-Semitism really.
• 17:58 What it's called...yeah
• 18:00 When I look at an Israeli,
• 18:02 as you know I go to Israel 3 times a year to bring the Gospel of Yeshua back to them,
• 18:06 I look at them eye to eye and say when I look at a Jewish person I know 3 things are true.
• 18:11 Number 1 God exists
• 18:13 Number 2 the Bible is true
• 18:14 And Number 3 God keeps His promises
• 18:17 that He made with Israel that are revealed in scripture.
• 18:19 Exactly, why does Satan hate the Jewish people so much
• 18:24 when Number 1 they gave us the scriptures;
• 18:26 they gave us the Word of God.
• 18:27 Romans Chapter 3:2 tells us
• 18:29 that God committed the oracles to them
• 18:32 so all of the authors of the Bible are Jewish.
• 18:36 I even believe that Luke was a Jew contrary to popular belief.
• 18:40 I do too.
• 18:41 I think he was a Hellenistic Jew.
• 18:42 Absolutely...absolutely
• 18:44 So all the authors of the Bible were Jewish
• 18:46 Number 2 he hates Israel because they gave us Yeshua.
• 18:50 They gave us the LORD Jesus Christ.
• 18:52 And the 3rd reason he hates the Jews
• 18:54 is because at the second coming of Jesus Christ
• 18:57 at the end of the 7 year period of tribulation
• 18:59 he is coming back
• 19:00 not to Washington D.C.,
• 19:02 not to Boston, Massachusetts.
• 19:04 He is coming back to Eretz Israel...
• 19:06 He's coming back to the Land of Israel
• 19:09 to the City of Yerushalayim,
• 19:10 to the City of Jerusalem
• 19:11 where He will one day establish a millennial kingdom reign
• 19:15 which I believe will be literal,
• 19:17 it'll be physical and it will be bodily
• 19:19 there in the City of Jerusalem.
• 19:21 Satan thinks that if he can
• 19:23 wipe Israel off of the face of the map
• 19:24 and kill every single Jew
• 19:26 it will thwart the promises of God
• 19:28 that Jesus Christ will come back to this earth.
• 19:30 But we know that's not going to happen
• 19:32 because we read the end of the book
• 19:33 and we know who wins.
• 19:35 (Todd speaking) Absolutely Well you know it reminds me
• 19:37 of this thing going on with Iran right now.
• 19:40 Inexplicably the Whitehouse claims they made a deal
• 19:43 with Iran over their acquisition of a nuclear weapon
• 19:47 and to think that they're just going to stop doing that
• 19:51 is ridiculous when quite frankly
• 19:53 their religion Islam teaches them
• 19:55 that they can lie to the infidel
• 19:57 and secretly carry out their plans for destruction.
• 20:00 And we know that Islam is not friendly
• 20:04 to the Jew or to Israel.
• 20:05 That's right...that's right
• 20:07 And of course lying is justified in Islam
• 20:10 as long as it furthers the cause it's justified in Islam.
• 20:13 And this deal that President Obama made with Iran
• 20:18 as well according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
• 20:20 was a very historic mistake.
• 20:22 And I agree with the Prime Minister.
• 20:24 I mean Iran is laughing behind the scenes.
• 20:27 It's not stopping their nuclear program
• 20:29 it's only slowing it down.
• 20:31 But they're still enriching uranium.
• 20:33 They still want to make a nuclear bomb.
• 20:36 And just like Iran's former president Ahmadinejad
• 20:40 this new guy Hassan Rouhani
• 20:43 he's saying we're going to wipe Israel off the face of the map.
• 20:46 And so in their mindset
• 20:48 in order to bring in an Islamic caliphate, a global kingdom,
• 20:51 we need to start World War III,
• 20:54 wipe the infidels, the Jewish people in Israel
• 20:57 off the face of the map
• 20:58 and then we can usher in this Islamic kingdom
• 21:02 or what they call the Mahdi,
• 21:03 the Muslim messiah.
• 21:05 So these guys are serious about what they believe... They sure are
• 21:09 dead serious in what they believe.
• 21:11 They're crazy but they're dead serious in what they believe.
• 21:13 They want to wipe Israel off the face of the map
• 21:16 but we know according to Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39
• 21:18 there will be a Russian led Arab coalition of nations
• 21:20 that will come up against the Jewish people
• 21:23 possibly early on in the tribulation period
• 21:25 but God said He's going to wipe this invasion out
• 21:29 and all those Arab nations will be destroyed,
• 21:31 Russia will be destroyed but Israel will be standing
• 21:35 and probably come to know Yeshua as their Messiah.
• 21:38 Do you see the Obama administration's foolish deal with Iran...
• 21:43 do you see that as the beginning point of America now turning away from Israel?
• 21:47 That could be a possibility.
• 21:49 I mean the Bible makes it clear
• 21:50 that one day all nations will come up against Israel.
• 21:53 And even though there's not any specific reference
• 21:56 to the United States in Bible prophecy
• 21:58 yet we can find general references to all nations
• 22:02 and of course America is part of all nations.
• 22:04 Zechariah 12: 2-3, God says
• 22:07 I will bring all nations against Jerusalem,
• 22:09 I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling,
• 22:11 I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone against
• 22:15 those nations who try to take Jerusalem away from the Jews.
• 22:17 In Zechariah 14:2 He says
• 22:19 I will gather all nations...
• 22:22 sure you could throw America in there
• 22:23 if she's even still around...
• 22:25 I will gather all nations against Jerusalem for battle.
• 22:28 So the battle is for Jerusalem.
• 22:30 You read about Jerusalem in the newspapers every single day.
• 22:33 Palestinian authority...
• 22:35 we want East Jerusalem for a future capital for a Palestinian state.
• 22:39 The Arab world...
• 22:41 we want Jerusalem.
• 22:42 In Iran once a year they have the annual al-Quds,
• 22:45 Jerusalem Day.
• 22:46 We have Arab nations that are saying
• 22:48 we need to go and take Jerusalem by force away from the Jews.
• 22:53 And that is in lockstep
• 22:55 with Bible prophecy in Zechariah 12:2-3.
• 22:58 It sure is
• 23:00 Zechariah 14:2 and other passages that we find in the Old Testament
• 23:03 And God says I will meet these nations head on.
• 23:05 I will destroy these nations.
• 23:07 Israel will be the only nation left standing at that time.
• 23:11 God has promises to keep Todd
• 23:12 and He will defend His chosen people, the apple of His eye,
• 23:16 the Jewish people.
• 23:18 You know Jerusalem obviously is a prominent city in the Bible.
• 23:23 It's mentioned 811 times in the scripture.
• 23:26 And Jesus called it the Great City of the King.
• 23:28 So He understood its significance
• 23:30 as far as it relates to the place of His future reign here on earth.
• 23:35 Over 800 times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible
• 23:37 but not once is it mentioned in the Koran...
• 23:40 not one specific reference to Jerusalem in the Koran
• 23:44 but yet the Arabs are saying Jerusalem belongs to us.
• 23:47 Even the Koran teaches that God gave the land to the Jewish people
• 23:52 and even calls them the people of the Book.
• 23:56 And so yes in Revelation Chapter 20
• 23:58 talks about a literal 1,000 year reign
• 24:01 And even though those in the church today Todd
• 24:03 are denying that there will be a literal 1,000 year reign.
• 24:07 They'll say well sure it says a thousand years
• 24:08 but it really doesn't mean what it says.
• 24:11 Well God says what He means
• 24:12 and He means what He says.
• 24:14 I mean does He have to put neon lights in the sky
• 24:15 flashing 1,000 years...1,000 years
• 24:18 That's what it says 6 times in Revelation 20:2-7
• 24:21 that He will reign for 1,000 years.
• 24:24 We just need to take God's Word
• 24:26 for its plain sense literal meaning
• 24:28 because the plain sense makes sense.
• 24:30 Don't look for any other sense
• 24:32 or you will end up with nonsense.
• 24:34 There's just a lot of nonsense going around.
• 24:35 First rule of sound Biblical interpretation...
• 24:38 take the Bible in its plain, literal sense.
• 24:41 The Bible interprets the Bible...
• 24:42 Especially when it comes to Bible prophecy
• 24:46 And then you think of Joel 3:1-3
• 24:49 those nations that try to divide the Holy Land
• 24:52 and rest the Jewish people from it
• 24:54 are negatively promised sure judgment by God.
• 24:58 And God says He's going to take those nations and meet them head on in Joel 3
• 25:02 that you just mentioned in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
• 25:04 When I first got saved I thought the Valley of Jehoshaphat
• 25:07 was the Jezreel Valley in Northern Israel...it isn't.
• 25:09 It's the Kidron Valley in the city of Jerusalem
• 25:13 that separates the Mount of Olives
• 25:14 from the East to the Temple Mount on the West.
• 25:17 And I take our tour groups into the Kidron Valley
• 25:20 every single year when we go to Israel
• 25:22 and I say, "This is the place that Joel talks about in chapter 3"
• 25:25 "where God said He will meet all those nations head-on in this very valley."
• 25:30 He's going to destroy those nations, why,
• 25:32 because they have parted or divided my land.
• 25:36 And Todd look at what our own country's doing today
• 25:39 and these political world powers.
• 25:41 They are trying to divide Jerusalem.
• 25:44 You know the Vatican says we'll make it an international city.
• 25:47 The Arabs say no it belongs to us.
• 25:49 This nation says no we ought to run it.
• 25:50 It belongs to Israel.
• 25:52 Jerusalem has been the capital of the state of Israel
• 25:55 for over 3,000 years
• 25:57 since King David took it from the Jebusites
• 26:00 in 2 Samuel Chapter 5.
• 26:01 I was watching an interview
• 26:04 when Naftali Bennett the House Administer of Israel
• 26:06 talking to Christiane Amanpour on CNN
• 26:10 and he picked up out of his pocket
• 26:13 a 2,000 year old Jewish coin
• 26:16 and he said Christiane this is a 2,000 year old coin
• 26:20 that shows my people were in this land long before the Arabs came on the scene.
• 26:28 You know we recognize the B'rit Hadasha,
• 26:30 the New Testament as the final word of God in scripture
• 26:34 but you know the new covenant really begins in Jeremiah 31;
• 26:37 it's a promise to Israel.
• 26:39 And we see in August Rosado's interview
• 26:42 that he's really making the case
• 26:43 for the Jewish presence in the land
• 26:45 and actually King David bought the Temple Mount,
• 26:49 the threshing floor of Ornan 3,000 years ago
• 26:52 and established Jerusalem.
• 26:53 It has been a Jewish land for a very long time.
• 26:56 It's so wonderful to see...
• 26:58 you know we know as believers
• 27:00 that the land was given to the Jews
• 27:01 but then to see archaeologists prove it with a coin
• 27:04 it's amazing and we know that it's true.
• 27:07 Yeah it is
• 27:09 and we know that He's coming back to a Jewish Jerusalem.
• 27:11 Absolutely
• 27:12 That's why we always ask you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
