Bible teaching with an emphasis on Israel, prophecy and the Jewish roots of Christianity
Series: “The God of Miracles”
We can’t go far in the Bible without encountering a miracle. When the universe was created, the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2). When all seemed hopeless, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28:6). In this nine-part series, we show our miraculous God at work from Genesis to Revelation, with teachings from the Holy Land by Dr. Jeffrey Seif. We also hear testimonials from those who have experienced the Lord’s supernatural hand in their own lives.
The account of creation in Genesis reveals the Spirit of God hovering over the waters. This same Holy Spirit hovered over human beings at Pentecost, saving 3,000, and now indwells believers today. Dr. Seif comes to us from the Western Wall and the Southern Steps in Jerusalem.
On this program, we see the Lord as our Deliverer in both the Old and New Testaments. From the Judean wilderness and Nehemiah’s wall in the City of David, Dr. Seif illustrates how God is interested in building and rebuilding lives. The Lord can deliver you from whatever you are going through.
Some troubles are matters of life and death. Elijah resurrected the widow’s son. Jesus resurrected His friend Lazarus. From Lazarus’ Tomb to Bethany Church, Dr. Jeff Seif teaches of the Lord’s power over life and death, both physical and spiritual.
God changes circumstances to accomplish His will. For those living in ancient Judea, it was His will to allow the Babylonian captivity. As Jeff teaches us from a busy street in Jerusalem, the God of Israel has brought His people home, just as He promised.
Perhaps the most magnificent of all the miracles in the Bible was the birth of the Messiah, the prophesied, yet unexpected Child, the Prince of Peace. Jeff teaches us from Manger Square, Shepherd’s Field, and the Shepherd’s cave near Bethlehem.
Not all miracles are spectacular. Many tend to be very practical — from the feeding of a large, hungry crowd to finding a coin in the mouth of a fish. The Lord is our benevolent Father who wants to give wonderful gifts to His children.
Jeff defines a miracle as the suspension of the laws of nature. Whether it be changing water to wine or transforming the damaged limbs of a paralyzed man into healthy limbs, the Lord moves in mysterious ways both yesterday and today. (Luke 24:16)
Life’s circumstances can bring us to our knees in desperation. Our ultimate assurance comes from our Father, who loves us and desires to help us. Jeff teaches us from the Pool of Siloam and the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem.
