  • 20:19 Joshua: All right, myth number one: Jesus was born on
  • 20:25 December 25.
  • 20:26 Caleb: We know Yeshua wasn't born on December 25.
  • 20:29 Yes, we know Yeshua is not born on December 25.
  • 20:33 We have taught many times before that the closest calculations we
  • 20:36 can deduce to the actual day of Yeshua's birth is by looking at
  • 20:41 Zacharias, John the Baptist's father.
  • 20:43 He was of the priestly order of Abijah, and twice a year he
  • 20:47 would go in and do service.
  • 20:48 So from that point that he heard from the angel that John was
  • 20:51 gonna be born, we calculate the birth of John, and then we
  • 20:55 connect that with Mary's pregnancy, and then that's how
  • 20:59 we get that final day of either--eh, day?
  • 21:02 It's a 50/50 shot of either March or September when Yeshua
  • 21:05 could have been born.
  • 21:07 Joshua: December 25 was a pagan
  • 21:08 holiday originally chosen by the
  • 21:10 church fathers to get
  • 21:11 the rest of the Roman world
  • 21:13 to jump on the bandwagon.
  • 21:15 Caleb: Well, interesting, they-- most people say in 274 AD, they
  • 21:19 go back to that time with the Roman emperor Aurelian.
  • 21:22 He created the feast Sol Invictus, the unconquered sun,
  • 21:27 around December 25.
  • 21:29 This is around the time of many pagan Roman holidays.

  • 21:39 his death, and the celebration of the rebirth of Nimrod as
  • 21:43 Tammuz with the Yule log and the Christmas trees and all that."
  • 21:46 And they say, "Okay, that's where the pagan institution
  • 21:48 come from."
  • 21:49 People hate the Christmas tree and all the different symbols
  • 21:53 because they say they have pagan influences.
  • 21:55 Well, they may have pagan influences, but you look at,
  • 21:59 say, the tree of life, Josh, in the Garden of Eden, and that's
  • 22:03 where we get the menorah.
  • 22:04 The menorah is actually a representation of the tree
  • 22:07 of life.
  • 22:08 And so Lucifer, Satan, saw that tree, and he only mimics the
