  • 02:38 Charlemagne, Frederick Barbosa, Muhammad, Joseph Smith,
  • 02:43 Adolf Hitler.
  • 02:45 All these people had that spirit.
  • 02:46 As John the apostle warns, "They went out from us, but they were

  • 02:51 It was a thing of deception.
  • 02:53 They appear to be something that they're not.
  • 02:54 He also says that in verse 22, "He is antichrist who denies the

  • 02:59 So the Antichrist isn't really denying the existence of God,
  • 03:01 but who is God's identity?
  • 03:03 And an Antichrist becomes a representative of God.
  • 03:05 Joshua: Let's look at the first ever in the Bible dictator who
  • 03:10 had the spirit of the Antichrist on him.
  • 03:12 His name was Nimrod, and he was Noah's great grandson.

  • 03:28 But Genesis 10:8 says that "Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a

  • 03:33 Caleb: Well, Nimrod's name means to rebel.
  • 03:35 We know rebellion is against God.
  • 03:37 Rebellion is from Satan.
  • 03:39 God cast him out of heaven because of his rebellion.
  • 03:42 Nimrod was the first one-world dictator that gathered all
  • 03:45 peoples together to build the Tower of Babel to heaven in
  • 03:47 defiance against God.
  • 03:49 Well, the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus gives a little
  • 03:52 bit of extra information.
  • 03:53 He said that Nimrod deceived the people in telling them that God
  • 03:55 was not going to keep his promises, that he was gonna send
  • 03:58 another flood to destroy the people on the earth.
  • 04:01 Therefore, they had to build a tower to the heavens to defy God
  • 04:05 to be protected from this flood coming.
  • 04:07 That's really very deceptive, isn't it?
  • 04:09 Joshua: Flavius Josephus, not a rapper.
  • 04:11 No, Jewish historian.
  • 04:12 Caleb: And then after that, you know, you can see in the
  • 04:14 Samarian cultures, they built these Ziggurats--these
  • 04:16 astrological temples--to worship the heavens.
  • 04:19 And it sort of became a thing, didn't it?
  • 04:21 Joshua: It did became a thing.
  • 04:22 And did you know that every serious false religion on the
  • 04:25 planet began with Nimrod?
  • 04:27 Am I correct in this?
  • 04:28 It began with the Sumerian civilization.
  • 04:30 Who did they worship?
  • 04:31 Caleb: It was this worship of Baal.
  • 04:33 It wasn't called Baal at that point.
  • 04:34 You know, Marduk was the god, but then his chief name was
  • 04:37 B-E-L, or Bel.
  • 04:38 And as we've spoken before, his name changed throughout the
  • 04:41 cultures after the languages were scattered.
  • 04:43 And thus you had worship to people like Osiris in the
  • 04:47 Egyptian mythologies, and you had Zeus, you had Jupiter, and
  • 04:51 so it carried on.
  • 04:52 But he--this institution of these false pagan religions to
  • 04:56 get worship away from God started with Nimrod.
  • 04:59 And that is Antichrist, is it not?
  • 05:01 Joshua: If you haven't heard of Nimrod in your Sunday school
  • 05:03 class, it's because he's super mysterious in the Bible.
  • 05:07 In fact, when you look in there in Genesis 10:9, it says, "He
  • 05:09 was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said,
  • 05:12 'Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.'"
  • 05:15 What does that redundant statement mean, brother?
  • 05:18 Caleb: Well, many rabbinic and scholarly sources claim that
  • 05:22 Nimrod was known as a man of blood, that he hunted down and
  • 05:26 slew the Lord's people.
  • 05:28 He was a hunter.
  • 05:29 He was hunting God's people.
  • 05:31 He wasn't this great, heroic hunter.
  • 05:32 And the word "mighty" in Hebrew is gibbor.
  • 05:35 And you see that same terminology used in Genesis 6
  • 05:38 when it was talking about the Nephilim, that they were
  • 05:40 the gibbor.
  • 05:41 They were the mighty ones.
  • 05:43 Who are the Nephilim?
  • 05:44 Well, they are the progeny of fallen angels coming down and
  • 05:46 mating with the daughters of men and creating these hybrids,
  • 05:49 these giants, just like this hybrid moose thing you see
  • 05:52 right here.
  • 05:53 Joshua: So progeny is demon love?
  • 05:55 Caleb: It's pretty disgusting.
  • 05:56 But these rabbis and scholars say that Nimrod was a Nephilim,
  • 06:02 that he was a hybrid.
  • 06:03 He was a giant.
  • 06:05 He slew the Lord's people.
  • 06:06 And you see the constellation of the giant Orion in the sky.
  • 06:09 That was named after Nimrod.
  • 06:11 Joshua: That was Nimrod?
  • 06:12 Caleb: He--the great hunter.
  • 06:14 Joshua: I knew I hated that constellation.
  • 06:15 Caleb: Yeah, that's Nimrod right there.
  • 06:16 Joshua: I mean, could the beast itself, whose name evokes a
  • 06:19 chimera or composite of creatures, also be Nephilim?
  • 06:23 Would make sense.
  • 06:25 Caleb: And so, you know, you look at Nimrod, and he
  • 06:27 established many kingdoms after the dispersion of Babel.
  • 06:32 And these kingdoms are very important--these territories
  • 06:35 that he established.
  • 06:36 Joshua: Verse 10.
  • 06:38 "And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad,
  • 06:41 Calneh, in the land of Shinar."
  • 06:43 This is where we get the civilizations of mankind from
  • 06:46 the Sumerians.
  • 06:47 Caleb: Acadians.
  • 06:48 Joshua: Erech.
  • 06:50 Caleb: Yeah, Erech.
  • 06:51 All these different place.
  • 06:52 Verse 11.
  • 06:54 "From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh,
  • 06:55 Rehoboth Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah."
  • 06:57 So here we see Nimrod travel north.
  • 06:59 He established what will become the Assyrian Empire.
  • 07:03 Joshua: So basically all the stories in the Bible about this
  • 07:04 town being really terrible and full of sin, Nimrod started it?
  • 07:07 Caleb: He started Babylon.
  • 07:08 He started Assyria.
  • 07:09 He started all these different places that we've heard about
  • 07:11 where sin and evil comes from.
  • 07:12 Let's--why is Assyra so important?
  • 07:15 Let's look at Revelation 17.
  • 07:16 Many of you have heard of the great whore of Babylon, have
  • 07:19 you not?
  • 07:20 Joshua: I knew her.
  • 07:22 No?
  • 07:23 Caleb: Mystery, Babylon the great.
  • 07:24 There's this woman, a great whore that John the Apostle
  • 07:26 sees, riding on this beast that has seven heads and ten horns.
  • 07:29 It's terrifying.
  • 07:30 It's very similar to--in Daniel chapter 7, the prophet sees a
  • 07:34 beast with ten horns also.
  • 07:36 And we know that these ten horns represent ten kings of this
  • 07:41 final one-world kingdom at the end of time that the beast
  • 07:45 rules over.
  • 07:46 Revelation 17:12 explains that about the ten kings and
  • 07:51 the ruler.
  • 07:52 Babylon the great being the one-world religion that
  • 07:53 everybody commits fornication with and worships.
  • 07:56 Verse 9, we learn that the seven heads of the beast are seven
  • 07:59 mountains or seven hills.
  • 08:01 His throne, his seat, a territory.
  • 08:04 And Daniel has already explained through the beast that came
  • 08:08 before--there's three beasts that came before that
  • 08:09 final beast.
  • 08:11 You know, you have Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, and
  • 08:14 then Rome.
  • 08:15 This final beast is the Roman Empire, and thus it was a
  • 08:19 revived Roman empire.
  • 08:20 Well, the Roman Empire was never destroyed, was it?
  • 08:22 Joshua: No.
  • 08:23 Caleb: The empire was split into eastern and western portions.
  • 08:25 The western Roman Empire was destroyed in the late 480 AD,
  • 08:29 but the eastern portion carried on for 1,000 more years and
  • 08:32 changed names to the Byzantine Empire, and eventually
  • 08:35 transformed into the Ottoman Empire.
  • 08:37 Many people say, "Well, the beast is gonna be a Roman.
  • 08:40 Rome is gonna be the seat of a beast, 'cause isn't Rome called
  • 08:43 the city on the seven hills?"
  • 08:44 Joshua: It is, but that's not-- where is it today?
  • 08:47 Caleb: See, it's interesting to note that Constantinople was the
  • 08:50 first capital of the Eastern Roman Empire--the portion that
  • 08:53 survived and we believe will be revived.
  • 08:55 Why is this important?
  • 08:57 Constantinople is also known as the city on the seven hills.
  • 09:00 It is Istanbul--present-day Istanbul, which is Turkey.
  • 09:04 Joshua: I knew it!
  • 09:06 The song says, "Constantinople, it's nobody's business but
  • 09:07 the Turks."
  • 09:08 Caleb: That's--it's the ancient Assyrian Empire all over again.
  • 09:10 Nimrod founded it.
  • 09:12 So you get this kind of first Nimrod and last Nimrod territory
  • 09:15 going on here, which is very interesting.
  • 09:17 History and prophecy is becoming cyclical.
  • 09:20 So Daniel 10 establishes the identity of the beast who
  • 09:23 commits the abomination of desolation.
  • 09:25 And it describes in the--being, you know, Syrian ascent.
  • 09:28 Syrian--we know that the abomination of desolation was
  • 09:33 manifest in Antiochus Epiphanes and that he committed this
  • 09:37 great act.
  • 09:38 But Yeshua also warns in Matthew 24:15 that there's an
  • 09:42 abomination to come.
  • 09:43 So this prophecy is a two-parter.
  • 09:45 It happened once.
  • 09:46 It'll happen again.
  • 09:47 So to be fulfilled the same way, then we're looking for another
  • 09:50 Antiochus Epiphanes, who was a Greco-Syrian ruler over the
  • 09:53 territory of the Seleucid Empire, which, guess what?
  • 09:56 The Assyrian Empire, present-day Turkey.
  • 09:59 Joshua: So Micah 5:5, that's when it hits the fan, isn't it?
  • 10:02 That's when everything culminates.
  • 10:04 Caleb: Micah 5:5 is very interesting.
  • 10:06 We love Micah 5 because here's this prophecy that the Messiah
  • 10:10 is gonna come out of Bethlehem.
  • 10:11 He's gonna rule the nations.
  • 10:13 He's gonna be a Prince of peace.
  • 10:14 We get to verse 5, and no one reads anymore.
  • 10:17 They stop it.
  • 10:18 Joshua: Yeah, 'cause here's what happens next: "When the Assyrian
  • 10:20 comes into our land."
  • 10:21 Caleb: The Assyrian.
  • 10:23 Joshua: Yeah, "When the Assyrian."
  • 10:24 Caleb: The Assyrian comes into the land.
  • 10:25 Joshua: "And when he treads in our palaces, then we will raise
  • 10:28 against him seven shepherds and eight princely men.
  • 10:31 They shall waste with the sword the land of Assyria, and the
  • 10:34 land of Nimrod as its entrances; thus He shall deliver us from
  • 10:39 the Assyrian, when he comes into our land and when he treads
  • 10:42 within our borders.
  • 10:43 Caleb: See, the "thus he."
  • 10:44 The "he" is Messiah.
  • 10:46 And scholars all placed this as an eschatological event that has
  • 10:49 not happened.
  • 10:50 This is in the future because none of this ever happened when
  • 10:52 the Assyrian Empire came the first time and laid waste
  • 10:54 to Israel.
  • 10:55 So this has not happened yet.
  • 10:57 This will happen at the end of times.
  • 10:58 The Assyrian--he represents this Antichrist figure.
  • 11:01 He's coming again.
  • 11:03 It's given the identity from the land of Nimrod.
  • 11:04 Once again, we get this kind of connection.
  • 11:06 So this is our best guess, you know, using the scripture,
  • 11:10 trying to understand prophecy.
  • 11:11 We think the Antichrist may be a Syrian.
  • 11:13 Some people may say Roman.
  • 11:14 Everybody throughout history has had their own perspectives.
  • 11:17 We had--Zola Levitt gave his own perspective.
  • 11:19 Hal Lindsay.

  • 12:20 possibility with the seven hills, and there's just--
  • 12:23 there's a lot of information that you guys are bringing, and
  • 12:26 it's just--it can be a little overwhelming.
  • 12:29 And I try to figure out who's the player and where it
  • 12:31 is and--
  • 12:32 Caleb: But it was more familiar for people back then.
  • 12:34 It's more of a recent thing for people to teach about
  • 12:36 Rome, Italy.
  • 12:37 But, like I said, for 350 years, Rome was the capital of the
  • 12:40 Roman Empire.
  • 12:42 For 1,700 years, the eastern section of the Roman Empire
  • 12:44 survived under the Byzantine Empire, under the Ottoman
  • 12:47 Empire, and Constantinople was key.
  • 12:49 It was ahead.
  • 12:50 It wasn't till after World War I that Ottoman Empire was really
  • 12:53 silenced as that world power.
  • 12:55 And so that's why I believe what we see today with Turkey has
  • 12:58 been, you know, claiming to be moderates or secular.
  • 13:01 That's not the case anymore.
  • 13:02 We've really seen their strong Muslim ties and their alliances
  • 13:08 that they're forming with Russia today, with Iran.
  • 13:10 The key players are coming into alignment for a Gog and Magog.
  • 13:14 So we know prophetically they are going to be a big player.
  • 13:17 They are former Assyrian Empire.
  • 13:19 It's all starting to happen.
  • 13:21 Kirsten: It's kind of a lot to take in.
  • 13:24 It's a lot to focus in.
  • 13:25 And sometimes, we're just kind of wondering, "What are we gonna
  • 13:28 eat for dinner tonight?"
  • 13:29 Do you know what I mean?
  • 13:30 I mean, there's so much--
  • 13:33 Joshua: That's in the book of Ezekiel.
  • 13:34 Kirsten: Thank you.
  • 13:35 There's so much normal life that to take time away from, you
  • 13:39 know, changing diapers and being with kids to focus on, "Which
  • 13:42 city is it?
  • 13:43 Who's the capital?
  • 13:44 And it's--
  • 13:46 Joshua: Well, and you talk about the family unit.
  • 13:47 This is something that Satan has tried to attack
  • 13:48 from the very beginning.
  • 13:50 He used Nimrod to form this unholy, fake Trinity--this
  • 13:53 counterfeit Trinity--to attack the family unit.
  • 13:56 And so now we're going to a teaching on Baal and Asherah,
  • 13:59 the family unit, where we find out what Satan's plan was to
  • 14:02 destroy that family unit of God.
  • 14:06 Joshua: Hey, everybody, I'm Joshua.
  • 14:07 Caleb: And I'm Caleb.
  • 14:09 Joshua: And we're brothers.
  • 14:10 Caleb: That's true.
  • 14:12 You know, we're a family, aren't we, Josh?
  • 14:13 Joshua: Yes.
  • 14:14 Caleb: Many people--many scholars have said that the
  • 14:16 institution of family was the first institution created by God
  • 14:19 and then followed by the church and then government.
  • 14:21 Well, it's of no surprise that Satan and his hordes are trying
  • 14:25 to attack the family now today more than ever.
  • 14:28 And to understand how to combat the attacks of the enemy today
  • 14:31 in the present, we're gonna look to the past and what he did,
  • 14:34 because Satan doesn't change.
  • 14:35 He does the same tactics in the past as he does today,
  • 14:38 doesn't he?
  • 14:39 Joshua: He uses whores or his hordes?
  • 14:41 Caleb: Hordes.
  • 14:42 Joshua: Yeah, they're both bad.
  • 14:43 Genesis 2:24 says, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and
  • 14:47 mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become
  • 14:50 one flesh.
  • 14:51 Boom, family came in to be.
  • 14:54 But you know what?
  • 14:55 Aside from the obvious, "Why was family so important?"
  • 14:57 you might ask.
  • 14:58 Well, Paul answered this in Ephesians 5:31-32, where he
  • 15:02 says, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and
  • 15:04 mother and she'll be joined to his wife, and the two shall
  • 15:06 become one flesh."
  • 15:08 Notice they said that twice.
  • 15:09 "This," though, "is the great mystery, but I speak concerning
  • 15:13 of Christ and the church."
  • 15:15 The institution of family was meant to prepare us and to teach
  • 15:18 us how our response should be to the Messiah--him as a
  • 15:21 figurehead for us and us as being the body and submitting to
  • 15:24 his will.
  • 15:26 Caleb: That's amazing.
  • 15:27 And so we look at the past--how does Satan try to destroy
  • 15:31 this institution?
  • 15:32 Well, first in the garden.
  • 15:34 He got the new family pointing fingers at each other and
  • 15:35 blaming each other.
  • 15:37 "Eve did it." "No, Adam did it."
  • 15:38 And we saw that there was dissension in the family
  • 15:40 from the beginning.
  • 15:42 Well, later on, you have Noah's great grandson named Nimrod.
  • 15:46 He started this rebellion, this tower of Babel, this
  • 15:49 one-world religion.
  • 15:51 Basically, Satan used him to institute the system
  • 15:53 of idolatry.
  • 15:54 And he was a false trinity.
  • 15:56 It was Nimrod, his mother, and wife, Semiramis, and their
  • 16:01 son, Tammuz.
  • 16:02 And you see them throughout scripture and through these
  • 16:05 figureheads, after the dispersion of languages, the
  • 16:08 worship of Baal, which was Marduk, which was also who
  • 16:11 Nimrod was, carried on through the Canaanites.
  • 16:14 You can see that he was also Zeus.
  • 16:16 He was Odin.
  • 16:17 He was Jupiter.
  • 16:18 He was Osiris in Egyptian mythology.
  • 16:20 And Semiramis, she was a Asherah, Ishtar, Astarte, Isis.
  • 16:25 All these names, it doesn't matter the names
  • 16:26 are changing, but the worship is the same because the
  • 16:30 figurehead of Baal was the worship of the celestial
  • 16:32 heavens, of this angry god, our creator, who's ready to cast
  • 16:36 down lightning bolts, who's ready to judge us.
  • 16:39 He's always procreating with other me--women.
  • 16:42 He's demanding cruel sacrifices in order that you might have
  • 16:45 rain upon the earth and all these other things.
  • 16:47 And for the woman, she was sexualized.
  • 16:50 There was goddess worship that was created.
  • 16:53 You had mother earth.
  • 16:54 If you wanted to have children, if you wanted to be fruitful,
  • 16:58 then you had to worship her.
  • 16:59 And you see the children of Israel fell into
  • 17:01 these temptations.
  • 17:02 Joshua: So mother is not just recycling?
  • 17:04 Caleb: No, mother is not just recycling.
  • 17:05 The children of Israel, the Bible said, fell into this
  • 17:08 Canaanite worship.
  • 17:09 The Bible says on every high hill, on every mountain top,
  • 17:12 they had these groves.
  • 17:14 They had these temples.
  • 17:16 They set up these Asherah poles, which represented the
  • 17:19 world tree.
  • 17:20 And under the celestial heavens and under these trees, they
  • 17:23 committed ritual sexual acts with temple prostitutes to
  • 17:27 worship these deities.
  • 17:28 Joshua: That doesn't sound like family at all.
  • 17:29 Caleb: It is not family.
  • 17:31 But Satan tried to destroy family that way because we're
  • 17:34 looking at this perception of who the mother is supposed to
  • 17:36 be--she's sexualized.
  • 17:38 They're offering children as sacrifice in order that they may
  • 17:40 have children.
  • 17:41 And the father, he's cruel.
  • 17:43 He's a tyrant.
  • 17:44 He's our creator.
  • 17:45 And that's what the children of Israel started to see--what
  • 17:47 life was supposed to be.
  • 17:48 That was the past.
  • 17:50 Joshua: That was the past.
  • 17:51 The thing is, is that in Romans, when it shows us and it warns us
  • 17:54 that we're supposed to worship the Creator, not the creation
  • 17:58 that he made.
  • 18:00 Satan has always tried to take the focus off of God and put it
  • 18:03 on anything else.
  • 18:04 Satan in the garden was focused on the tree.
  • 18:07 "Look at this tree.
  • 18:08 This is what God is trying to keep from you.
  • 18:11 This knowledge.
  • 18:12 All this stuff."
  • 18:13 And so this perversion of the family has really begun in a
  • 18:16 shift of focus off of what was intended in the family unit.
  • 18:20 Caleb: And so you're looking at today, you're saying, "How does
  • 18:22 that really apply to today?"
  • 18:24 Well, you see these ideals change, and they become more
  • 18:28 innocent over time.
  • 18:30 Like you said, okay, we love to recycle.
  • 18:32 We love nature.
  • 18:34 We're called to take care of nature.
  • 18:35 But, you know, it gets to a point where you get so extreme
  • 18:37 that it becomes a form of worship.
  • 18:40 And you actually see these forms of Baal worship:
  • 18:42 astrology, horoscopes.
  • 18:43 All these things are around today, and they've been seeping
  • 18:46 into and indoctrinating our kids through media, through
  • 18:49 television, through movies, and all this.
  • 18:52 Look back just 70 years during World War II, Josh.
  • 18:55 Joshua: Here comes a man who was a radical Greenpeace, recycling,
  • 18:57 earth-worshiping dictator.
  • 18:59 Adolf Hitler idolized the pagan roots of a Germanic people.
  • 19:02 He gave more stock to the life of a tree or an animal than the
  • 19:05 life of a human being.
  • 19:07 He was a hardcore environmentalist, and his
  • 19:09 desires to take over the earth and return it back to this
  • 19:12 utopia Eden-like state for his genetically superior pagan
  • 19:16 elites led to America having to join the war.
  • 19:20 Caleb: And this led to the breakup of the family unit.
  • 19:22 Joshua: The breakup of the family unit after World War II
  • 19:24 started out of somewhat seemingly necessity.
  • 19:27 The fathers were gone, right?
  • 19:29 So the roles were changed in the household.
  • 19:31 Caleb: The women went to work.
  • 19:32 Joshua: The women had to go to work.
  • 19:33 The fathers were killed.
  • 19:35 You had the kids being raised by the state.
  • 19:36 You go through the hippie era, where it was all about this free
  • 19:38 love, and there was--monogamy was a thing of the past, and we
  • 19:42 just sowed our wild oats, and free sex became the norm.
  • 19:45 Caleb: And prayers been taken out of public school.
  • 19:47 You have abortion that's legalized.
  • 19:49 All these little steps were building on each other.
  • 19:52 It was all because of the breakup of the family unit.
  • 19:54 Yeah, it was out of necessity, but it just started snowballing
  • 19:57 within, divorces skyrocketing within, men and women not taking
  • 20:02 on their parental and God-given roles in the family.
  • 20:04 Joshua: And a lot of this sounds ridiculous, all right?
  • 20:06 I know a lot of you weren't at home practicing Baal worship or
  • 20:09 having T-shirts that say "Nimrod" on it.
  • 20:11 Although "I'm with stupid" is a fun T-shirt.
  • 20:13 Just pointing out.
  • 20:14 But things get more insidious as time goes on, and the devil gets
  • 20:18 better at masking his intention with things.
  • 20:21 And I think one of the ways we see it today--one of the
  • 20:23 most egregious ways is actually even within the church.
  • 20:26 And it's how we begin to create separation in the family unit.
  • 20:30 If you were to go to Sunday morning on a church, you would
  • 20:32 have a service that was designed for the older people.
  • 20:36 A service that's designed for the children.
  • 20:38 If you're gonna go throughout the week, you're gonna have a
  • 20:39 men's service.
  • 20:41 You're gonna have a women's service.
  • 20:42 You're gonna have all these things broken up.
  • 20:44 And on the surface, it looks great.
  • 20:45 This is designed so that we can more specifically focus on
  • 20:48 things that are important to your group.
  • 20:50 We're gonna give you this information.
  • 20:52 If you're in the men's group, we're gonna talk
  • 20:54 about [beeping]
  • 20:56 How you want--what?
  • 20:58 female: You can't say that.
  • 21:00 Caleb: Josh, you can't say that.
  • 21:01 You can't say [beeping]
  • 21:02 Joshua: I can't say [beeping]?
  • 21:04 Caleb: Josh, you can't say that.
  • 21:06 Joshua: Anywho, they're gonna tell you that this is specific
  • 21:09 information that only your group needs to hear about and can grow
  • 21:12 from within each other.
  • 21:13 Men can grow with men and women with women.
  • 21:15 And I don't think there's any problem with standing with your
  • 21:17 brethren when you're talking about [beeping]
  • 21:19 Caleb: Josh.
  • 21:21 Joshua: All those things.
  • 21:23 But what's important is that the family unit should
  • 21:25 stick together.
  • 21:26 How can I learn how to operate as a family in the hard times on
  • 21:29 all these things that I can't talk about on this show if we
  • 21:32 didn't experience it together, if we didn't learn together?
  • 21:35 If we had to deal with all these issues separately, yet, in real
  • 21:39 life, we have to, as a family, address them corporately, we're
  • 21:42 not trained for it anymore.
  • 21:43 We begin isolated, and we go over here, and now the dad
  • 21:46 doesn't know how to be a dad to the son.
  • 21:47 And he doesn't know how to talk to his wife and listen to her
  • 21:50 when she has issues.
  • 21:51 And she doesn't know how to share with him how
  • 21:52 she's truly feeling because she's afraid of this.
  • 21:54 And we've learned all these things, but we've learned how to
  • 21:55 do them separately and not how to be together.
  • 21:57 Caleb: But we can turn all that around, can't we?
  • 21:59 Joshua: We can turn it around.
  • 22:00 Caleb: Turn all that around by seeking the Lord as a family.
  • 22:03 Seeking the Lord as a family.
  • 22:05 Worshiping as a family.
  • 22:07 Teaching your children the Word of God and not trying to
  • 22:13 isolate--you know, not being isolated by things like the
  • 22:15 phone, by entertainment, by the television.
  • 22:18 But it's kind of, you know, old and archaic, going back to the
  • 22:21 old ways of just sitting around each other, pulling out the
  • 22:24 Bible of the Word of God, and asking, "What does this
  • 22:26 all mean?" together.
  • 22:28 Joshua: For generations, the Jewish people have done that.
  • 22:30 We've been so focused on family.
  • 22:32 All of our celebrations, our institutions have been around
  • 22:33 that table where we grew together as a family.
  • 22:35 So, today, don't let the shirts that claim that mom loves one
  • 22:39 son better than the other one happen because they're not okay.
  • 22:43 It's a trap.
  • 22:44 We love you guys.
  • 22:45 We're not trying to argue against anything.
  • 22:47 We just want you to remember that God made us to be together.
  • 22:50 He made your family to be the bond that's the strongest
  • 22:53 against anything the world or the enemy might throw
  • 22:55 against you.
  • 22:56 So put your focus together and begin to work together as one
  • 22:59 unit, as our Father would have us work with him.
  • 23:03 Caleb: Join us next time.
  • 23:04 Joshua: I hate that shirt, by the way.
  • 23:05 I'm still gonna find it.
  • 23:07 Not this one, that one's fine.
  • 23:08 The one about mom loving you.
  • 23:09 Caleb: Yeah, I remember.
  • 23:13 David: Today's teaching is so important, and especially for me
  • 23:16 to hear about preserving the family unit, even for today.
  • 23:20 Back then and today.
  • 23:22 Joshua: To see everything that Satan did to flip what God
  • 23:26 installed on its ear and turn it all backwards, and then to go
  • 23:30 into Nimrod, this guy being the first Antichrist to set the
  • 23:35 standard for everybody else.
  • 23:37 Man, he was like the star Heisman quarterback Antichrist
  • 23:39 who was gonna lay down that foundation.
  • 23:41 He was what everyone looked to and worshiped before God split
  • 23:46 up all the languages and cast everybody into the different
  • 23:49 corners of the earth.
  • 23:51 But what we see is that Satan in times past used initially
  • 23:55 persecution to attack Christians, right?
  • 23:57 And so he would try to kill us and behead us and do all
  • 24:00 these things.
  • 24:01 But he found that Christians flourished under persecution.
  • 24:03 So he changed his game plan a little bit.
  • 24:06 Instead of doing--
  • 24:07 Kirsten: I would not like to be under that flourishing
  • 24:09 under persecution.
  • 24:11 Joshua: I understand that, but that's why he switched to this
  • 24:13 slow game where he weaves his way into our ideals and slowly
  • 24:18 changes the message of God and the gospel and tears down the
  • 24:22 family unit.
  • 24:23 And so we see that sin has slowly slipped in, and he
  • 24:26 destroys us with the long game instead of just doing
  • 24:28 that initial--
  • 24:29 Caleb: Deception.
  • 24:31 I mean, it's true deception.
  • 24:33 And he does it meticulously, and he's been around for millennia,
  • 24:37 for centuries.
  • 24:39 He doesn't mind.
  • 24:40 You're gonna forget--each new generation is gonna forget what
  • 24:41 he did in the past.
  • 24:43 So he counterfeits everything.
  • 24:44 He renames it for each coming new generation.
  • 24:46 Like I said, the term idolatry-- before, I said idolatry is
  • 24:49 around today, but people think of a golden calf, you know?
  • 24:52 But idolatry is just serving something else that's not God.
  • 24:55 I can serve my coffee and say, "This is God to me."
  • 24:58 And people become addicted to it, then that is your God.
  • 25:01 Kirsten: So this Nimrod spirit--soul spirit.
  • 25:05 Caleb: It's the spirit of Antichrist.
  • 25:07 Kirsten: Where do you think it is sitting right now?
  • 25:09 Caleb: Like John warns, he says, "The spirit of Antichrist is
  • 25:12 around today.
  • 25:13 Many Antichrists will come, by which we know it is the last
  • 25:16 hour," is what John said.
  • 25:17 So you see that he picks many people waiting in the wing to be
  • 25:21 possible Antichrists at any given time.
  • 25:23 You know, Ahmadinejad, the Iranian ruler, or Saddam Hussein
  • 25:27 or Hitler or Stalin.
  • 25:29 You know, he has--he doesn't know prophetically what's gonna
  • 25:32 happen, so he has everybody ready.
  • 25:33 "Oh, maybe it's this guy.
  • 25:34 Maybe it's this guy."
  • 25:36 Waiting to see if it's his time in the sun.
