  • 00:10 David Hart: We're so glad you've joined us today.
  • 00:12 And we are known for bringing you dramatic reenactments
  • 00:15 from Israel, teaching from Israel,
  • 00:18 but today things are a little bit different.
  • 00:21 Can you kind of explain that to our viewers.
  • 00:23 Caleb Colson: Well, the program's kind of
  • 00:24 a little different.
  • 00:26 Josh and I have an alter identity on the Internet,
  • 00:27 social media.
  • 00:29 We're the Bearded Bible Brothers and y'all guys who are around
  • 00:31 social media are used to our programs being a little
  • 00:33 different, unhinged.
  • 00:34 We're in our bunker, you know, we have a fidget spinner, but we
  • 00:37 want to bring these messages to the television audience because
  • 00:40 they're so relevant for the age of today.
  • 00:42 Joshua Colson: And today we are talking about a relevant topic.
  • 00:44 It's salvation.
  • 00:46 Now, it's interesting that old-school religious Jews and
  • 00:49 old-school Christians kind of have a similar view of God.
  • 00:51 Jonathan Edwards will talk about sinners in the hands of an angry
  • 00:54 God where he was dangling us over hellfire and Jews believe
  • 00:57 that he got this angry at 'em all the time.
  • 00:59 Today we have a very important topic that we're gonna discuss:
  • 01:02 Why does God send people to hell?
  • 01:06 Caleb: Why would a loving God--
  • 01:08 Joshua and Caleb: --send people to hell?
  • 01:10 Joshua: That's the--find out.
  • 01:12 Joshua: Ooh, Fidgie, you're elegant and beautiful.
  • 01:15 Hey, everyone, I'm Joshua.
  • 01:16 Caleb: And I am Caleb.
  • 01:18 Joshua: We are joined by our DNA to each other
  • 01:20 in brotherhood.
  • 01:21 Caleb: In brotherhood.
  • 01:23 Joshua: You know, recently, I listened to a message.
  • 01:25 I know you didn't think I did that.
  • 01:27 Caleb: You listened to the Bible?
  • 01:29 Joshua: Not the Bible, but somebody talk about the Bible.
  • 01:31 Caleb: Ha, ha, so it must be right.
  • 01:33 Joshua: I mean, the guy said--he was tackling the topic
  • 01:35 of why would a God send--a loving God send people to hell.
  • 01:38 And what he suggested was that God is so awesome and we are so
  • 01:44 horrible that he doesn't have to explain why we're going
  • 01:48 to hell to us.
  • 01:50 He can just let us go to hell and then, because we're so
  • 01:52 focused on humans as being the center of the universe, that we
  • 01:57 think he's bad and mean for sending us to hell, and he is,
  • 02:01 actually, the center of the universe and he's so good
  • 02:03 and he doesn't have to explain jack to us.
  • 02:06 Caleb: I have a problem with this.
  • 02:08 Joshua: I'm really surprised.
  • 02:10 Caleb: I think, first, the problem is the question
  • 02:12 is all wrong.
  • 02:14 Because the question is from a humanistic mindset that God is
  • 02:17 this angry, you know, person sitting on a cloud waiting to
  • 02:21 judge us and cast us into hell.
  • 02:23 The question is framed from a wrong perspective, Josh, because
  • 02:26 we don't truly know who God is.
  • 02:29 If you read the Word, you know of God's goodness and the extent
  • 02:33 that he goes to to try to save us from judgment but, yeah, but
  • 02:37 the question's kind of flawed.
  • 02:39 Joshua: What's hell, then?
  • 02:40 If God loves us and is good, what's hell?
  • 02:42 Caleb: Well, hell's a real place, Josh.
  • 02:44 Joshua: Yes, it is.
  • 02:45 Caleb: I know people don't wanna know--believe that hell,
  • 02:47 sheol, hades, is the same place, but it's all real.
  • 02:49 Joshua: Matthew 25:41 says: "Then he will say to those on
  • 02:52 his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed,
  • 02:55 into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'"
  • 02:58 Now, this is when Yeshua is explaining
  • 03:01 about the sheep and the goats.
  • 03:02 Does that mean goats go to hell?
  • 03:04 [screaming]
  • 03:05 Joshua: But sheeps have eternal life?
  • 03:07 [bleating]
  • 03:09 Caleb: We're all stinky, Josh.
  • 03:11 Joshua: Dirty-tasting goats.
  • 03:12 I'm sorry, I don't like goat meat.
  • 03:13 I know a lot of you do.
  • 03:15 Caleb: I like it but, okay, so we learned two important
  • 03:17 things from this verse, guys, that, one, hell was made for
  • 03:20 Satan and the fallen angels, not for us.
  • 03:23 Not for men.
  • 03:25 It's meant for Satan and, two, we learn that we are cursed.
  • 03:28 We are born with a curse and we join Satan in hell if we don't
  • 03:32 remove that curse.
  • 03:35 Joshua: So, how do I remove this curse and why am I so
  • 03:39 cursed if he loves me?
  • 03:41 If he loves me.
  • 03:43 Caleb: So, we go back to Adam.
  • 03:44 Adam was given dominion over all the earth, but he was also given
  • 03:50 dominion over hell and death.
  • 03:53 A lot of people don't know that.
  • 03:54 He was given dominion over all things.
  • 03:55 Hebrews 2:5 through 8 explains that God made everything into
  • 03:59 subjection to Adam, that he was ruler and master over all of it.
  • 04:03 He even says in 1 Corinthians 6:3
  • 04:06 that we are gonna judge the angels.
  • 04:09 Well, Adam was placed in charge to judge the angels as well.
  • 04:12 Well, there is a problem.
  • 04:13 Adam sinned.
  • 04:15 Willfully, he chose to sin and he surrendered his dominion over
  • 04:18 the whole earth, over hell, over the grave, to Satan.
  • 04:23 Thus now, he could not live forever, okay?
  • 04:26 He was flawed.
  • 04:27 Joshua: He shouldn't have done that.
  • 04:29 Caleb: We see when Satan tempted Jesus with this power
  • 04:32 and authority, he said, "Okay, you've been trying to get this
  • 04:34 authority over the earth back.
  • 04:35 I'll give it back to you.
  • 04:37 I have rule over everything and I'm gonna give you those keys
  • 04:40 back if you bow down and worship me."
  • 04:42 Yeshua said, "Ah-ah.
  • 04:43 I have a better way."
  • 04:44 So what did Yeshua do?
  • 04:46 He died on the cross.
  • 04:47 And he then went to hell in Ephesians 4:9.
  • 04:50 And as Colossians 2:15 states: "Having disarmed principalities
  • 04:54 and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing
  • 04:57 over them in it."
  • 04:59 Okay, we're not talking about the Romans.
  • 05:00 When Yeshua died, did he make a public spectacle of Romans?
  • 05:02 "I have ruled."
  • 05:04 No, he did so when he went to hell and he defeated every
  • 05:07 demon, every principality, every power, and made a public
  • 05:10 spectacle to the saints in Abraham's bosom, saying,
  • 05:13 "Look, I'm the Messiah. I have conquered them."
  • 05:15 And he took the keys to death, hell, and the grave away from
  • 05:17 Satan because he was worthy to do so, being the last Adam, as
  • 05:21 it says in 1 Corinthians 15:45.
  • 05:23 Joshua: Now, Revelation 1:18, Yeshua says: "I am He who lives,
  • 05:27 and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.
  • 05:30 Amen.
  • 05:32 And I have the keys of Hades and Death."
  • 05:35 And now, Yeshua has returned that power to us.
  • 05:38 Caleb: That's true.
  • 05:39 Joshua: Matthew 16:17 to 19 says that "the gates of hell
  • 05:41 shall not prevail against us," the church, because we now hold
  • 05:45 the keys to the kingdom.
  • 05:47 Caleb: So, guys, we are accursed.
  • 05:49 We are born with a curse under the law of sin and death with
  • 05:52 our sin nature and we have to choose, ourselves, to live under
  • 05:55 the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
  • 05:57 Joshua: Galatians 3:13.
  • 05:59 Caleb: Go ahead.
  • 06:01 Joshua: "Christ bought us with His blood and made us
  • 06:03 free from the Law.
  • 06:04 In that way, the Law could not punish us.
  • 06:06 Christ did this by carrying the load and by being punished
  • 06:08 instead of us.
  • 06:10 It is written, 'Anyone who hangs on a cross
  • 06:12 is hated and punished.'"
  • 06:14 Caleb: Another version simply states: "Christ has redeemed us
  • 06:17 from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us
  • 06:19 (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree')."
  • 06:23 So the law can still hold us accountable if we choose
  • 06:26 to live under it.
  • 06:28 And thus, we choose whether we're gonna get our first class
  • 06:31 ticket to Hades or our first class ticket to heaven.
  • 06:34 Its our choice now, Josh.
  • 06:36 Joshua: I think we forget this a lot when we talk about
  • 06:38 why would God not let people into heaven.
  • 06:40 We can't pollute heaven with sin.
  • 06:43 Caleb: That's true.
  • 06:45 It's a perfect place.
  • 06:46 Joshua: Heaven is a perfect place.
  • 06:48 If you were to not follow the rules, if you were to be let in
  • 06:50 without accepting Yeshua as Messiah, then you would bring
  • 06:55 the sin nature that you were born into because of Adam into
  • 06:59 heaven and pollute heaven, and he simply can't let that happen.
  • 07:01 Caleb: See, people still have a--that confusing mindset that
  • 07:04 God is out to judge us, that God is out to punish us, when
  • 07:07 really, the entire Bible is a love letter of him going out of
  • 07:11 his way to create this masterful plan to save us from our sins.
  • 07:15 Sending his own perfect Son, Yeshua, to die on our behalf.
  • 07:18 Joshua: "For the grace of God that brings salvation has
  • 07:22 appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and
  • 07:25 worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly
  • 07:29 in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious
  • 07:32 appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave
  • 07:35 Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless
  • 07:38 deed and purify for Himself His own special people,
  • 07:42 zealous for good works."
  • 07:44 When the enemy tries to convince you that the heart of the Father
  • 07:47 is for your destruction, demise, and to send people to hell,
  • 07:49 remember that the Bible continually proves the opposite.
  • 07:53 The heart of the Father is to love you and to rescue you.
  • 07:55 He not only set down a love letter, but he lived out that
  • 07:58 entire love letter his entire life, perfectly, for you
  • 08:02 and for all of the generations since then.
  • 08:04 He has been fighting on your behalf to ensure that you get to
  • 08:07 see, hear, taste, and feel his presence and his love in this
  • 08:11 world that he created for us and then spend eternity with him.
  • 08:13 Caleb: So, guys, join us next time.
  • 08:15 Joshua: And be careful where your apple comes from.
  • 08:19 I can't stress that enough.
  • 08:20 They look delicious but, as we know, they can be painful.
  • 08:24 Caleb: You don't wanna pick the bad tree.
  • 08:25 You want the good tree apples.
  • 08:27 I like McIntosh apples.
  • 08:29 They're good. Joshua: There's some decent.
  • 08:31 They have a new one: Cosmic apple.
  • 08:33 Guinness Book World--Guinness Book, sweetest apple
  • 08:35 in existence.
  • 08:36 They made it in a lab. Caleb: Agh, hybrid apples.
  • 08:39 Joshua: Probably just as bad as the one on that tree.
  • 08:41 I'd watch out for it.
  • 08:44 David: There's a lot of hot topics that you're
  • 08:46 gonna be hearing about and this one is one
  • 08:48 that you can't put under the rug.
  • 08:51 It's something that we really need to talk about.
  • 08:52 Kirsten Hart: It's heavy, let's just be honest.
  • 08:54 It's not like, "I'm going to Christian Church Camp and let's
  • 08:58 talk about God sending people to hell."
  • 09:00 I mean, it's a serious topic.
  • 09:02 Joshua: When you realize the potential destination of all
  • 09:05 mankind because of sin, you realize that the topic has to
  • 09:08 get heavy at some point.
  • 09:10 But where the focus is, that's what makes all the difference in
  • 09:12 the world.
  • 09:14 And we have to focus on the loving heart of the Father.
  • 09:16 It keeps going back to that and it seems redundant because we
  • 09:20 miss out on that so often.
  • 09:22 The Father doesn't want you to live eternally
  • 09:25 separated from him.
  • 09:26 He just doesn't.
  • 09:27 In fact, he sent his Son, Yeshua, to die for you to pay
  • 09:30 the price on earth that Adam sold away through sin, so that
  • 09:35 when he died, he went to hell, he took death, hell, and the
  • 09:38 grave, to took the keys, and he now owns the rights to us and
  • 09:42 all we have to do is choose him, choose his sacrifice and
  • 09:46 salvation through Yeshua.
  • 09:48 That love should be the heart of our focus
  • 09:51 when it comes to salvation.
  • 09:53 Kirsten: And it flips it.
  • 09:54 It flips it from doom and gloom to there's a lot of joy.
  • 09:57 Caleb: And that's the true purpose of the gospel of
  • 09:59 salvation, but you can't talk about salvation with talking
  • 10:01 about sin.
  • 10:03 I know that's a worty dird that everybody doesn't wanna talk
  • 10:05 about in the church, but it's also because it makes
  • 10:08 it an absolute.
  • 10:09 There is good and evil, light and dark, white and black.
  • 10:12 And so, here's our topic for the worty dird, "sin."
  • 10:14 Hope you enjoy this next teaching.
  • 10:18 Joshua: Ooh, hey, everybody. I'm Joshua.
  • 10:20 Caleb: And I'm Caleb. We're brothers?
  • 10:22 Joshua: We are brothers. Caleb: I got to say it.
  • 10:25 Hey, guys, today we are gonna talk about everyone's favorite
  • 10:27 worty dird.
  • 10:28 Joshua: Ooh, [bleeping] [bleeping] [bleeping]
  • 10:32 [bleeping] [bleeping]
  • 10:34 Caleb: Josh! Joshua: No?
  • 10:38 Caleb: No, we're gonna talk about sin.
  • 10:40 Joshua: Oh, yeah, that's what I meant.
  • 10:42 Caleb: Okay, a sin is kind of a loaded weapon these days,
  • 10:44 it is true.
  • 10:46 It's that way because people have misused it in the past,
  • 10:49 like, "Hey, sinner.
  • 10:51 Come to Jesus now."
  • 10:52 You know how it's created this stigma amongst even the church.
  • 10:55 Joshua: McGruff the Crime Dog met, like, the--Smoky the Bear.
  • 11:00 Caleb: But because the church had this bad stigma attached
  • 11:03 with the word "sin," they knee-jerk reactioned the other
  • 11:06 way, in which now the church doesn't speak about sin at all.
  • 11:10 You don't really hear about it.
  • 11:12 Anyway, what is sin, Josh?
  • 11:13 Sin is just falling short of God's standard for living.
  • 11:16 It's doing things our way which, believe me, automatically
  • 11:19 reverts to Satan's way, than God's way.
  • 11:22 Joshua: You know, sin is kind of like a virus, okay?
  • 11:25 Caleb: Whoo, I get it.
  • 11:27 I totally get it.
  • 11:28 Joshua: Track with me here.
  • 11:30 You get it, generally in ways you're ashamed of and don't
  • 11:32 wanna say in public.
  • 11:34 Then you spread it to others, generally in ways you're ashamed
  • 11:37 of and don't wanna say in public.
  • 11:39 And you get other people infected, and then it keeps
  • 11:42 growing and you keep getting weaker and then you keep falling
  • 11:44 for the same things over and over again, and the whole time,
  • 11:46 you know, you have the ability to stop it, not by being in a
  • 11:50 basement with a mask and avoiding people with orange
  • 11:52 hair, but no, because you could stand on the Word of God and you
  • 11:55 can oppose it and defy it.
  • 11:57 But no, you give in to that virus.
  • 12:00 Caleb: I find it interesting, you look back at the creation
  • 12:02 of our world.
  • 12:04 God made this new world and Adam and Eve and everything was
  • 12:07 perfect, and then you have this little devil, crawling around in
  • 12:10 the Garden.
  • 12:12 He was full of sin.
  • 12:13 He was the first sinner.
  • 12:15 He was corrupt and dark.
  • 12:16 But even while Satan was crawling around in the Garden,
  • 12:18 trying to tempt Adam and Eve, the world wasn't fallen.
  • 12:20 How is that, Josh, that it wasn't until Adam made
  • 12:25 the choice to sin.
  • 12:26 Eve was just deceived.
  • 12:28 Adam made the choice to sin, that then creation was fallen
  • 12:32 because dominion was given to Adam.
  • 12:34 And, well, the knowledge of good and evil's already in us, and
  • 12:36 'cause with that sin, it came at first.
  • 12:38 So people go around and they say, "Well, I don't really know
  • 12:41 if that's right."
  • 12:43 There's, you know, some people even may think they have no
  • 12:44 moral center or it's ambiguitous.
  • 12:46 Is there really morals or values?
  • 12:48 I don't know.
  • 12:49 Everyone has the knowledge of good and evil because
  • 12:52 of a sin nature.
  • 12:55 Joshua: They could even say it's ambiguous.
  • 12:56 In John 8:34 through 36: "Jesus answered them, 'Most assuredly,
  • 13:01 I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
  • 13:04 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son
  • 13:07 abides forever.
  • 13:08 Therefore if the Son makes you free,
  • 13:10 you shall be free indeed.'"
  • 13:12 James 1:14 to 15 says that "But each one is tempted
  • 13:16 when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
  • 13:18 Then, when desire was conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin,
  • 13:23 when it is full-grown, brings birth to death."
  • 13:25 That's the interesting concept because the allure of sin is
  • 13:30 that it's not that bad.
  • 13:32 The allure is it comes with this fun other side to it.
  • 13:36 Fun Bobby.
  • 13:37 Fun Bobby is always the guy that goes along with sin and
  • 13:40 everything's gonna be great with Fun Bobby.
  • 13:42 But the issue is it gives birth, what the Bible says,
  • 13:45 eventually to death.
  • 13:46 Caleb: So is God really mean?
  • 13:47 It's all him, he's trying--it's him that's killing us
  • 13:49 by the sin?
  • 13:51 No, as he knew that when the fallen state came into being,
  • 13:54 that doing those things that were harmful in sin would bring
  • 13:57 harm to your body.
  • 13:59 It would also separate us, morally and spiritually,
  • 14:01 from God.
  • 14:02 We have that separation, but he already knew these laws were,
  • 14:06 in effect, the law of sin and death, if you will.
  • 14:08 Satan knew it too and so that's why he wants to pull you into
  • 14:11 sin because he wants to steal, kill, and destroy.
  • 14:13 He knows that he can destroy you faster if you jump into sin.
  • 14:16 Joshua: That's what the Bible says in Romans 6:23, that
  • 14:19 "the wages of sin is death."
  • 14:21 And Hebrews 9:27 to 28 says: "And it is appointed unto men to
  • 14:25 die once, but after this judgment, so Christ was offered
  • 14:29 once to bear the sins of many."
  • 14:32 God is gracious and he is kind and that is preached a lot.
  • 14:35 But the funniest way I've heard it recently is we have adopted
  • 14:40 this greasy grace doctrine that we're just gonna slide on in to
  • 14:45 heaven on the grace and that everything is gonna be good and
  • 14:47 dandy, and God wouldn't judge us at all because that would be
  • 14:49 mean of him.
  • 14:50 Caleb: No, because God's fair to judge the wicked.
  • 14:52 He's a just God so he's gonna go out, he's gonna judge the
  • 14:54 wicked, but what if the wicked cries out to God, "Hey, what
  • 14:58 about your people, the church?
  • 15:00 They're committing the same sins we are."
  • 15:02 Joshua: 1 Peter 4:17 to 18 says: "For the time has come for
  • 15:04 judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us
  • 15:10 first, then what will be the end of those who do not obey
  • 15:13 the gospel of God?
  • 15:15 Now 'If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the
  • 15:18 ungodly and the sinner appear?'"
  • 15:20 Caleb: Well, that's kind of scary, Josh.
  • 15:22 That means that even we in the church--there's consequences for
  • 15:26 our actions now, and I truly believe the church
  • 15:29 has gone away from this.
  • 15:30 They have this mentality that you repented one time,
  • 15:33 you received salvation and that's it.
  • 15:34 No, you should be repenting daily.
  • 15:36 "Oh, but now we can do all the fun things that the world does."
  • 15:39 No, you need to turn your back from the things of the world
  • 15:43 and go back to God and not to commit those same sins
  • 15:45 over and over again.
  • 15:47 So I believe judgment's coming.
  • 15:48 The Scripture just said, "Judgment's coming to
  • 15:50 the house of God."
  • 15:51 Joshua: To be clear, he is not saying that you lose
  • 15:53 your salvation if you do not repent verbally for every sin,
  • 15:56 every day.
  • 15:57 We are talking about walking in a lifestyle of holiness versus
  • 16:02 walking in a lifestyle of sin, that one sin after another sin
  • 16:04 leads you down a path to physical destruction,
  • 16:07 the destruction of your spirit man, your soul.
  • 16:10 It's trying to murder you.
  • 16:12 You think that possibly the idea that God would judge you means
  • 16:14 that he's a bad God?
  • 16:16 Well, if you ever had a child that reached out for fire and
  • 16:18 tried to touch the fire, what did you do?
  • 16:20 You pulled 'em back and you issued them punishment for doing
  • 16:23 that because you didn't want them to do it again.
  • 16:25 Same with crossing the road, doing this, doing that.
  • 16:27 We are God's children, and the things that we think we don't
  • 16:30 know or we do know that we shouldn't do and we do it
  • 16:32 anyway, boils down to is that we're in a time period where the
  • 16:35 demarcation line is drawn, and right and wrong's pretty clear.
  • 16:39 So is black and white.
  • 16:41 And you know what you're choosing.
  • 16:42 You wanna say that you don't know, but you know
  • 16:44 what you're choosing.
  • 16:45 And God knows what you're choosing
  • 16:46 and he knows your heart.
  • 16:48 And so, instead of fighting over it or trying the semantics of
  • 16:50 arguing for why it's okay and not that bad,
  • 16:53 just repent and move on.
  • 16:55 There's no condemnation for that.
  • 16:56 He just wants you to be on a path of life and on
  • 16:59 the righteousness and not on a path that's leading you
  • 17:01 to destruction, both physically here
  • 17:03 or possibly spiritually later.
  • 17:05 Caleb: That's right.
  • 17:06 God has a great plan for your life.
  • 17:08 You cannot fulfill it unless you walk in obedience to him, and
  • 17:11 your calling in his greatness, not just on this earth but in
  • 17:14 the age to come, and to make sure and ensure that
  • 17:17 that calling in the age to come is great, you obey God on this
  • 17:19 earth 'cause this is our training ground now, our
  • 17:21 preparation for the eternity.
  • 17:23 And we love you guys.
  • 17:25 That's why we're giving this message.
  • 17:26 We know people don't like to talk about sin, but we're
  • 17:28 talking about it because we love you.
  • 17:30 Joshua: So, check in next time and definitely avoid things
  • 17:33 like refined sugar, simple carbohydrates.
  • 17:37 Caleb: That's sin.
  • 17:39 Joshua: [bleeping] The love of animals.
  • 17:41 Caleb: I'm bleeping this stuff out.
  • 17:42 Joshua: All the other--I gave him things to bleep.
  • 17:44 This is what I'm doing right now so it could end on
  • 17:45 a big nice bleep.
  • 17:47 Nancy Pelosi, saturated fat, Epstein's Island.
  • 17:50 He was just only expecting the first bleep.
  • 17:56 David: This is never easy for me to talk about,
  • 17:59 especially on camera.
  • 18:00 I grew up in a Christian home.
  • 18:02 My dad was the pastor but, behind the scenes of our family,
  • 18:06 there was some sin going on and it was--
  • 18:09 it affected our whole family.
  • 18:11 And it's so sad that even today--
  • 18:13 Joshua: Sin can be like that and so you probably just
  • 18:16 listened to what we said and go, "Man, y'all guys are even more
  • 18:18 harsh and legalistic than my church is."
  • 18:20 No, we're explaining that God has a set standard for sin:
  • 18:24 a black and a white.
  • 18:26 And relativism of today tries to suggest that whatever you're
  • 18:28 okay with, you know what?
  • 18:30 Just repent later and it's gonna be okay.
  • 18:32 But that's not how God is.
  • 18:33 He has a set right and a set wrong.
  • 18:35 Kirsten: And it affects everybody.
  • 18:37 Joshua: And it affects everybody when you don't follow it.
  • 18:38 Caleb: Now, a very important topic to us is salvation to the
  • 18:42 Jewish people, and "God preached the gospel to the Jew first."
  • 18:45 And most people believe since Paul says, "The whole house of
  • 18:47 Israel will be saved," "Ah, we don't need to witness to the
  • 18:49 Jews," but it's very important.
  • 18:51 So our next subject is "The Remnant of Israel."
  • 18:56 Joshua: Hoo-ah.
  • 18:57 Hey, everybody. I'm Joshua.
  • 18:59 Caleb: And I'm Caleb.
  • 19:00 Joshua: And we're brothers.
  • 19:01 No, wait, that's not hyperbole.
  • 19:03 We're actually brothers.
  • 19:05 As in "23 and Me validates that we got the same
  • 19:08 mom and dad," brothers.
  • 19:09 Caleb: We're asked that question a lot, we see in posts
  • 19:11 on Facebook and YouTube.
  • 19:12 Real, blood-bought.
  • 19:14 Joshua: 'Cause we look so dissimilar that it could
  • 19:16 be a farce.
  • 19:17 Guys, we love engaging with you on YouTube and Facebook.
  • 19:19 We love answering questions because this whole platform
  • 19:22 is supposed to be family.
  • 19:23 We're supposed to be able to open conversations up, ask
  • 19:26 questions, and provide answers that, hopefully, bring clarity.
  • 19:29 So today, we wanna address a question that we've got
  • 19:32 on social media here, from my good friend, KC Cline.
  • 19:35 Thank you for asking this wonderful question.
  • 19:37 The question is: "I'm truly curious and not trying to argue:
  • 19:42 you just said 'Corporately all Israel will be saved.'
  • 19:46 So those who don't come to Christ will still be saved?"
  • 19:49 Question mark?
  • 19:50 "Why witness to our own people if that's the case?
  • 19:52 Just curious."
  • 19:54 KC, don't worry, I never thought you would ever be argumentative.
  • 19:57 So I appreciate the sincerity of your question.
  • 20:00 Caleb: That's a really good question.
  • 20:01 Throughout the entire Bible, its entire purpose, in fact, we see
  • 20:06 the same message reoccurring through the prophets of the
  • 20:09 Lord, through the leaders, through Yeshua himself, that God
  • 20:12 desires to save the entire house of Israel.
  • 20:15 And he's sending Yeshua to rule over them for 1000 years.
  • 20:20 That's, like, the entire purpose of the Bible.
  • 20:22 Joshua: Which-- Caleb: --is true.
  • 20:25 Joshua: --is kind of a big deal.
  • 20:26 Caleb: It's true.
  • 20:28 Now, Paul reminds us in Romans 11:26, saying, "All of Israel
  • 20:30 will be saved, and turn away from their sins."
  • 20:34 So we know it's gonna happen but Matthew 24:13 says: "That it's
  • 20:40 only those who survive great tribulation until
  • 20:42 the end will be saved.
  • 20:44 Joshua: Okay, so all will be saved or all who get persecuted
  • 20:48 really bad will be saved?
  • 20:50 Caleb: Hey, we're Jews.
  • 20:52 We know persecution, don't we?
  • 20:53 Joshua: That's true, we've seen a thing or two, right?
  • 20:55 Caleb: Thousands of years of persecution.
  • 20:56 Let's see, Haman tried to annihilate us, Hitler,
  • 20:58 you know, the Pogroms.
  • 21:00 We're used to that, you know?
  • 21:02 Genesis 3:15 says that the seed of the serpent will forever be
  • 21:06 at enmity with the seed of a woman.
  • 21:07 So we understand that.
  • 21:09 But we're talking about the Tribulation here.
  • 21:11 Seven years of judgment.
  • 21:12 You know, the first 3½ years--
  • 21:13 Joshua: Hold on.
  • 21:15 What's the Tribulation again?
  • 21:16 Caleb: The Tribulation's spoken of in Revelation and in
  • 21:18 Daniel and it's 7 years of judgment where God judges
  • 21:22 the wicked, while the Beast, the Antichrist,
  • 21:24 is taking power and ruling.
  • 21:26 Well, the first 3½ years actually go pretty well for the
  • 21:29 Jews because this illustrious Messiah figure of the Beast
  • 21:31 signs a peace treaty with Israel that their enemies
  • 21:35 cannot attack her.
  • 21:36 They rebuild the temple, reinstitute animal sacrifices.
  • 21:40 In fact, everything is going well until Day 1260,
  • 21:43 the 3½-year point.
  • 21:44 The Beast marches into the temple, into the Holy of Holies,
  • 21:48 sits on the Mercy Seat and declares himself to be God.
  • 21:50 Joshua: Is anyone else impressed that he knew that 3½
  • 21:52 years was 1260 days, right off the top of his head?
  • 21:55 Caleb: It's the Bible, man.
  • 21:56 They give the number in the Bible, that's how I know.
  • 21:58 Anyways, from that point on, Yeshua and Daniel warn the Jews,
  • 22:02 "Flee to the wilderness.
  • 22:04 Go to Basa,* for a great time of persecution is coming."
  • 22:06 It's called the time of Jacob's trouble, it says in Jeremiah.
  • 22:09 And so, during this time, there is 144,000 Jews that step
  • 22:15 forward and start preaching the gospel of Yeshua, but still many
  • 22:18 of the Jews do not believe upon Yeshua.
  • 22:21 And it isn't until the very end of the Tribulation when Jeshua
  • 22:25 comes with the clouds, with the armies of heaven.
  • 22:28 He steps foot upon the Mount of Olives, they look upon him who
  • 22:30 they have pierced.
  • 22:32 They mourn as if for their only son.
  • 22:34 They see the holes in his hands and feet, and the Jews
  • 22:37 corporately, as one people, say, "Baruch haba beshem Adonai,"
  • 22:41 "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
  • 22:43 They believe upon him as Messiah, but Zechariah states
  • 22:46 which is very important, in Zechariah--
  • 22:49 Joshua: 13:7 to 9.
  • 22:51 Caleb: 13:7 through 9: "It's only a remnant of Israel."
  • 22:54 Only one-third of the Jews that survived the great Tribulation
  • 22:57 will believe corporately.
  • 22:58 That's why our message is so impending.
  • 23:00 Joshua: So what it is saying is they all will, but it will be
  • 23:04 the ones at that time period who've made it through, who've
  • 23:07 held fast, who will be in that group that's considered "all"?
  • 23:11 Caleb: That's right.
  • 23:13 KC, that's why we need to witness to our Jewish brethren.
  • 23:15 That's why we need to witness to Gentiles, Jews alike, now,
  • 23:19 because you have to confess with your mouth and believe with your
  • 23:21 heart that Yeshua is the Son of God.
  • 23:24 There's no other way whereby we can be saved.
  • 23:27 Joshua: Unfortunately, over the years, you've heard lots of
  • 23:28 doctrines that might suggest there's no need to go out and to
  • 23:31 share your salvation or to share the love of Yeshua with others
  • 23:34 because it might be predetermined and if it's
  • 23:36 predetermined, why should we do anything because we have
  • 23:39 no involvement.
  • 23:40 But at the end of the day, if love is what spurned God to send
  • 23:42 Yeshua down for us, an action, right?
  • 23:46 And love is what spurned Yeshua to live a spotless, blamefree
  • 23:50 life and then die on the cross for us, another action, wouldn't
  • 23:53 it make sense that action on our part in representation of that
  • 23:57 love is what we need to do for the world around us?
  • 23:59 We don't know who will go to heaven and hell.
  • 24:02 That's not for us to decide.
  • 24:04 But we do know that we have the understanding of the greatest
  • 24:07 love in history and if you have that in your heart, why wouldn't
  • 24:10 you wanna share that with every man, woman, and child in this
  • 24:12 planet, regardless of what they may choose or who chooses for
  • 24:15 them or what that theology ends up with, God who ultimately
  • 24:18 decides, I would think that if you had that love in your heart,
  • 24:21 you'd wanna spread it with the world.
  • 24:22 Caleb: That's true. Thank you for your questions.
  • 24:25 Continue to send them and we will continue to answer.
  • 24:27 Joshua: Especially you, KC, because, well, you were brave
  • 24:31 enough to ask a question.
  • 24:33 Caleb: This has become a controversial topic in the
  • 24:36 church, the remnant of Israel.
  • 24:37 It's become a loaded weapon for some pastors to try to scare the
  • 24:41 Jewish people into salvation, saying, "Hey, look at all these
  • 24:44 that are gonna die at the end of the Tribulation.
  • 24:46 Come to Messiah now."
  • 24:47 That's not our heart or our intent.
  • 24:49 We want to galvanize you, the believer, to bring the gospel to
