Episode: “Divine Apparently”
Standing with Jesus at the Transfiguration were Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets. Peter, wanting to contribute, responded impulsively. Like us, Peter needed to pay attention and listen to the Lord’s words.
Series: “Much Like Peter”
On the shore of the Sea of Galilee, Yeshua began His ministry by calling disciples to follow Him. One of these was Peter — who often acted before thinking. Even so, the Messiah foresaw that this simple fisherman would become the leader of the Apostles and a powerful voice for the Gospel.

This series features teaching by Dr. Jeffrey Seif, reenactments by Israeli actors, David and Kirsten Hart singing songs by Zola on location in Israel, interviews with Israeli Believers, and modern life applications with the Harts. Each program reveals that many of us who follow the Lord are “much like Peter.”

  • 07:51 these guys, a sukkot, a booth, something to that effect?"
  • 07:54 It's a glorious moment.
  • 07:56 And the statement to build the booths might hark back to if you

  • 08:06 end of Exodus, we're told there that when the Shekhinah,
  • 08:09 when the cloud--when the tabernacle
  • 08:13 was finished, the cloud was there.
  • 08:15 The glory of the Lord was there.
  • 08:19 Indeed, it's a spectacular moment, and Peter is kind of
  • 08:23 thrown on his heels and he wants to do something.
  • 08:27 By the way, that's the thing that I like about Peter.
  • 08:30 He is impulsive, he wants to do things, and I like that.
  • 08:34 And as inconsistent as he can be on occasion, and as unnecessary
  • 08:40 as the building of the tabernacle was there and then,
  • 08:45 the point is he's looking to use his energies

  • 09:07 Different people do different things to try and
  • 09:09 advance the kingdom and that's meritous.
  • 09:11 In this case, it was unnecessary.
  • 09:12 The principal point here is less about what Peter
  • 09:16 wants to do, though I did alight upon the
  • 09:19 fact that he wanted to do something.
  • 09:20 But principal here to my way of thinking, is that Yeshua is seen

  • 09:29 You might recall in the Johannine Gospel, in the Gospel
  • 09:32 of John, Yeshua had said, "If you'd listened to Moses, you'd
  • 09:36 listen to Me, for Moses spoke of Me."
  • 09:40 Not just Moses alone, but he was so
  • 09:42 much the principal in Jewish thought.
  • 09:45 You know, Moshe Rabbeinu was there conversating with Jesus,
